COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: • Discuss the diagnosis and treatment of Myofascial Dysfunction. • Demonstrate how to diagnostically choose the proper muscle systems to work with. • Demonstrate how to create their own Myofascial Treatment Protocols which include Trigger Point therapy, Muscle Strengthening Programs, Myofascial Stretching Exercises, and Proprioceptive Training. • Demonstrate how to effectively treat acute and chronic pain problems.

FREE Come out for Eloise Prescott's talk on Acupuncture this 2nd Saturday in Media at our center. After her talk there will be an introduction to Reiki followed by mini-Reiki sessions and a Reiki Share. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Shoden Degree Certification (Reiki I)
Shoden is the Japanese word meaning “First teachings”. This is a first level beginning Reiki course in the traditional Japanese method as presented by the International House of Reiki, Sydney, Australia. The course will be taught by Joseph Moon, Shibumi registered (Practitioner/Teacher) under Shibumi protocols (see below). There are no prerequisites for participation.
The course will be conducted on Thursday nights at Downingtown Friends Meeting, 800 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA from 5:30 to 8:30 for four weeks.

A copy of The Japanese Art of Reiki by Frans & Bronwen Stiene will be available at the course for an additional $15 if you do not already have a copy. Free Acupuncture Talk at Media 2nd Saturday


Eloise Prescott has been interested in Energy Medicine for many years and began to study Reiki under Myra Reichel in 2005 and soon became a Reiki Master Practitioner. She is studying to become a Reiki Master Teacher. Her Reiki studies provided a good background in Energy Medicine and in 2006 she began a Master’s Program in Acupuncture Medicine at the Won Institute for Graduate Studies.

She is fascinated by the diversity in Chinese Medicine and is currently learning Five Element Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Korean Acupuncture. She works with her clients using all of the tools she currently has at her disposal and incorporates nutritional recommendations (as a long time vegetarian for 34 years) and meditation instruction.

7 pm Intro to Reiki followed by Reiki mini-sessions and Reiki Share

Reiki II with Joe Moon in Dowingtown

Okuden is the Japanese word meaning “Inner Teachings”. In this course you will learn Japanese Mantras (sounds) and Shirushi (symbols) will assist in carrying your Reiki skills to a deeper level. This is second level of Reiki training in the traditional Japanese method as presented by the International House of Reiki, Sydney, Australia. The course will be taught by Joseph Moon, Shibumi registered Practitioner/Teacher under Shibumi protocols (see below). There are prerequisites for participation.
